Product Description This heavy duty can crusher is different from most in that it can be mounted where ever you need it most. All you need is three screws for easy attachment. (not included) Or use without mounting at all.
As can be seen from the photo you can mount it horizontally or flat. You can even leave it loose on the kitchen counter. Or you can mount it vertically on the wall. What ever is most convenient for YOU. Remember to mount it so others can crush their cans as it keeps a place looking clean without you doing all the work. Plus Recycling pays you back!
It works in ANY position. I show it mounted on a 2 x 12 laying on top of a barrel. Take it inside when you're done. It saves it from being weathered.
This is easily mounted to a post on the porch, on a solid spot in the garage, in a closet, even on the tailgate of a pick up truck. Its just that adaptable!
It measures 10" long by 7" wide and stands about 4" tall. When fully open it extends to about 17". It is built of space age super tough plastic for many years of faithful service.
It only works on standard 12" American beverage cans. 16 ounce won't work.

Finally Broke After 20 Years August 11, 2008 GaryA39 (Centennial, CO USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm ordering a new one as both pivot pins sheared this weekend. I like it because it doesn't have to be mounted. It doesn't work quite as well on Coor's cans as they are a smaller diameter than other beverage cans.
THE RESULTS I NEEDED!!! February 11, 2009 J. Zink (Illinois) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is my first review on Amazon but have bought many many items. My wife is becoming a recycling guru so we started to really focusing on recycling all of our cans. Before we bought this product we were sitting the cans down and just stomping on them to do it - I CALLED IT THE CAVEMAN WAY. I purchased this product over the other ones because I did not want to mount it on the wall. It is simple to work, has a great design, and makes things so much easier. If you are looking for a can crusher that allows you to crush cans while sitting on the couch, this one will allow you to do that (don't get me wrong, I don't sit on the couch and crush cans all day long, but if I did THIS IS YOUR CRUSHER).
Hope this review helps in your buying decision.
Easier to use than the other kind November 21, 2008 John K. (Riverside, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I mounted this crusher to a board much like shown in the pictures associated with this product. It's quite stable that way, and so I'd recommend same to anyone else.
What I like about this thing is that it's less noisy and requires less effort than the type of can crusher that presses down on the top. Plus it doesn't need to be pre-dented. It also doesn't need to be mounted to a wall.
This is great September 21, 2009 M. Williams (Oklahoma) We have had a can smasher similar to this for years that was mounted on top of a metal trash can w/slot in top to drop crushed cans into. We got it years ago with priority points from Holiday Inn and it has been a favorite gadget in our home. Was devastated when it broke and never dreamed of being able to find a replacement. This piece even fit into the same holes on our can lid. It's great.
It works December 26, 2007 Pengwen (central NC, USA) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
My only complaint it that it's a bit pricey compared to other gadgets that do the same. I spent the money anyway because I really didn't have a good place to mount a crusher and this is the only one I could find that works on a table top and doesn't have to be mounted. A nice side benefit of not having it mounted, and the fact that there are no metal parts that can rust, means that when my husband has been using it on cans that have not completely dried out and it gets all sticky I can just run it through the dishwasher.
